Laser Etching

Custom laser markers enable artists to produce accurate and detailed original designs and photographs in granite markers and headstones. The etching process uses a computerized laser machine to burn the image into the surface of the granite removing the polish by the laser beam resulting in high resolution, high detail, and most of all, high-quality artwork.

The best contrast will be achieved when engraving on black granite which produces a black and white grayscale photo engraving. Laser engraving on granite will last as long as the polish on the stone which is typically hundreds of years.

Many families choose to use laser designs to capture portraits of their loved ones, their family farm, cabin, or a favorite classic car, just to name a few of the most common lasers designs we do. Using our state-of-the-art laser etching machine allows Michigan Headstones to personalize your headstone with photo-quality images.
