Returns & Cancelations

All our products are custom made and engraved to customer specification. We always get a layout approved by the customer. We do not accept returns on custom made products for any reason other than damaged shipments or mismatch between the approved picture and the finished product. (System generated granite and bronze colors may not accurately match colors.) MichiganHeadstones.com website attempts to display product images shown on the site as accurately as possible. However, we cannot guarantee the product color you see matches the product colors, as the display of color depends, in part, upon the monitor you are using.

Customized Items & Custom Made Items:
Including but not limited to personalized grave markers, headstones, bronze markers, granite benches, cremation headstones, cremation benches, ceramic pictures, urns, and any other personalized item we may carry, if work has been started there will be no returns allowed. If work has not started on the item ordered, the customer may cancel the order without incurring any charges and a full refund will be given. MichiganHeadstones.com reserves the right to replace defective or incorrect products with one that meets the original order. You may be required to provide photographed details of the defective/incorrect product for internal review prior to any action being taken. Customer has 7 days from the delivery date to report a defective or incorrect product, and a replacement will be made and delivered upon completion.

Cancellation
Customer may cancel the order without incurring any charges and a full refund will be given if you notify us or cancel the order within 72 hrs. of placing the order. No exception whatsoever will ever be made once your order is processed.

Damages Policy
Our shipments are carefully packaged and shipped to ensure a safe delivery to your destination; however, the possibility exists that damage can happen during transit. If it does, kindly note the damages on the bill of lading immediately and fax us a copy of the bill of lading so that we can file a claim promptly. After you’ve accepted the memorial, protect it from further damages by keeping it in a safe place. We need to know the exact damage to the memorial. If possible, take a photo when you uncrate it – after noting the damage on the bill of lading.

If the damage is not discovered at the time of delivery and is found while unpacking the memorial, notify us immediately. Fax us a copy of the bill of lading with the damages noted on it. We will arrange for an inspection from the shipping company. It is important to inspect the memorial immediately. The time frame to file a claim is usually less than 10 days. All merchandise should be retained in the original shipping container in the same condition when damage was discovered—until an inspection can be done.

All shipping related damage should be notified to us within 24 hrs. of accepting the delivery to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). We will not accept any return without a RMA # and label. If you have a shipment related question, please contact us.
